Role Summary

Become one of the authors of our story.  Join our team as the Pastry Chef at Auberge Beach Residences & Spa, Fort Lauderdale.  Our Pastry Chef develops, plans, prepares, sets-up and provides high quality baking and pastry service in all areas of production for menu items and specials.  He/ She will direct, train, and supervise the performance of pastry staff while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of all food related work areas and equipment.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-members.

  • Meet with the Executive Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to job performance.

  • Develop all menus for pastry and bakery operations.

  • Prioritize all mise en place and tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely and correct fashion.

  • Ensure that Prep staff completes functions in a timely fashion for the required service.

  • Train, coach, and supervise Pastry team

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years or more experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef

  • Professional Food Handlers certificate
