SUMMARY
Dunes runners are the eyes and ears of the kitchen and are expected to communicate important information between the expeditor and service team on the floor. They are responsible for ensuring that every dish makes it from the kitchen to the guest quickly and carefully. Runners confidently deliver tableside descriptions of every dish on the menu and have enough in-depth knowledge of Dunes ingredients, their origins and cooking techniques to answer follow-up questions from the guest

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Running all food from the kitchen to the dining room, bar, and private rooms
- Expediting plates from kitchen passes per Chefs’ instructions
- Serving as the middleman between the kitchen and the dining room team
- Clearing plates in any dining space, especially when asked by a server
- assistant or server to help with clearing large tables
- Communicating timing information to the expeditor and service team
- Describing dishes confidently and accurately to every guest at every table
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High school graduate
- Food Handler training or equivalent
SKILLS
Required
- Ability to think and communicate clearly in high pressure situations
- Ability to move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room
- In depth knowledge of SPOON AND STABLE’s menu, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Confidence in communicating with guests
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes experiencing extreme fluctuations in temperature
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.
- Ability to stand and/or walk continuously throughout the shift to perform essential job functions
- Sufficient manual dexterity to be able to grasp, load, and carry tools
- Ability to endure repetitive motions for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly
- Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs; and, lift and/or carry or otherwise move received packages, bottles and boxes
