Exquisitely designed residences, a rich array of indoor and outdoor amenities, a tempting selection of restaurants, and a world-class Auberge branded dining and spa are perfectly located directly on 450 linear feet of pristine Atlantic Ocean beachfront.
The Host is the first and last point of contact for all Dune restaurant guests both via phone and while dining or drinking at the restaurant. In essence, you are the opening act and memorable close for each guest’s soulful journey at Dune. Primary responsibilities include warmly greeting, seating and bidding fond farewells while assuring each guest’s known preferences are acknowledged and assure a memorable story. Hosts also assure smooth, simple seating and table turns, managing wait lists and special requests. Communications on the phone and in person are clear, friendly and empathetic. .
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. The key responsibilities for this position are:
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
Basic knowledge of Dune's menus, ingredients and cooking techniques
Strong written and verbal communication. Friendly and outgoing presence
Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly while providing service to many guests at any given time
Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculation
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Work well under pressure and able to handle multiple tasks at once
Work well with co-workers and the public. A direct team relationship with servers, runners, bussers and bartenders is essential
proof of age from guests when legal age is questioned (anyone appearing under the age of 30 should be asked for identification)
Keep work area clean and organized maintaining health safety procedures for guests
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, and use equipment only as intended
