Take on a pivotal role as a full-time Radiation Therapist in Houston, TX. The position offers a fixed schedule from 7 am to 4 pm, allowing you to plan your time effectively. Responsibilities: 
  • Simulate treatment setups according to physician instructions.
  • Perform dosimetric calculations under the supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, using manual or computerized methods.
  • Accurately deliver the prescribed radiation therapy course.
  • Assist in brachytherapy procedures.
  • Warm up treatment machines/simulators and check all safety and operational procedures; report any erratic operations to a physicist.
  • Check laser positioning to ensure proper alignment.
  • Verify doses through barometer and thermometer measurements; report any discrepancies to a physicist.
  • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; support department-based goals that contribute to the organization's success; serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Model service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • ARRT registered Radiation Therapist (T)
  • Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions
  • At least 1 years of Radiation Therapy experience
