Summary:
The Registered Dietitian (RD) will provide nutritional care and consultation to patients and their caregivers for inpatients, outpatients, and planned community programs. The RD will provide current expert nutrition knowledge to healthcare professionals to improve nutrition care and health outcomes across the continuum. The RD will responsibly comply with all hospital and regulatory groups to provide high-quality nutritional care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Dietetics or related
- Completed internship or other approved pathway to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (and) requirements for eligibility. New graduates are welcome.
- Obtain MA Dietitian/Nutritionist within 9 months (LDN)
- Become a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months
- Maintain 15 annual continuing education hours
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Present appropriate role modeling as a health care provider, demonstrating a healthy lifestyle
- 1-2 years hospital experience
