As a Special Procedures Cath Lab Technologist, you will operate state-of-the-art equipment to perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Perform specialized and invasive radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols. Responsibilities include preparing patients, explaining procedures, administering contrast as needed, positioning patients, selecting imaging techniques, and maintaining image quality.
  • Enter and monitor patient data.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on radiology equipment. Assist with accreditation applications, including ACR.
  • Report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Respond to emergency calls within the department.
  • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors in compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards. This includes managing time and resources effectively to enhance service quality.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements and competencies to foster professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to organizational goals, mentor junior staff, and serve as a resource.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to community care by delivering compassionate and personalized services in accordance with standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • BLS or ACLS
  • Current license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) or temporary license
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT (R)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Cath Lab
  • Special Procedures experience
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Special Procedures Technologist experience
