Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) - will accept CRT
Location: North Adams, Massachusetts
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00pm to 7:30 am; Rotating weekends and holidays
Pay: To be discussed with Bryant Staffing Solutions Recruiter ($3.50 differential)
Sign-on Bonus: $9,000

Summary:
We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist who responds to outpatient areas as needed and works in the ED to provide responsive state-of-the-art respiratory care. To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient-centered care. To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
  • Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use.
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing advanced respiratory support and life-saving measures.
  • Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in medical records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Six months of Staff Therapist experience is preferred but not required.
  • Education and Training:
    • Graduated from AMA-approved program of Respiratory Therapy at the Registry level.
    • On a yearly basis meet all hospital mandatory education requirements.
  • License, Certification & Registration:
    • MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license
    • NBRC-RRT- National Board Respiratory Care RRT
    • CPR
  • Other Requirements:
    • Highly effective and positive interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Effective problem solving, team building skills, and willingness to participate in the education process both as a student and provider of education. Ability to vary shift hours and days to meet schedule needs.
