To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient-centered care. To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors.

Summary:
We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist who responds to outpatient areas as needed and works in the ED to provide responsive state-of-the-art respiratory care. To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient-centered care. To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors.
Responsibilities:
- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. May perform tobacco cessation education, bedside PFT, EKGs, etc as ordered by the provider.
- Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
- Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
- Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS within 60 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 90 days of hire
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments
- Graduate of a CRT or RRT Program
- Bachelor’s degree
