Summary:
Respiratory Therapist will provide essential respiratory care to patients in various health conditions. Shifts will be 12-hour shifts from 7 am – 7 pm or 7 pm – 7 am, three shifts per week totaling 72 hours per pay period, with rotational weekend and holiday work. This role also involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. You will work with adult ICU patients and others requiring respiratory care in general units, including adult, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients. The position demands quick physical response to emergencies and sustained physical activity.

Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional respiratory care to diverse patient populations.
- Respond quickly to emergent situations and handle repetitive physical tasks.
- Maintain standing positions for extended periods.
- Potentially take charge and work in the Emergency Department after completing relevant proficiencies.
- Complete required proficiencies within one year of hire.
Key Requirements:
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Vermont before the start date.
- Graduate from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
- New grads must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status by NBRC within one year of hire.
- Experienced therapists must already have RRT status.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
