Summary:
Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) will provide essential respiratory care to patients, ensuring high-quality and compassionate treatment. This role requires a professional who is experienced in various respiratory therapy techniques and is committed to patient wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using specialized equipment.
- Administer and evaluate patient responses to respiratory therapy.
- Update and review respiratory care policies in line with patient outcomes and current best practices.
- Provide emergency response to patient distress calls and codes.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and community resources.
- Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and sterilization.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a CRT or RRT program. Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 1 year experience as Registered Respiratory Therapist or related experience.
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills, ability to work in high-stress environments
