Our client is seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at a facility in Belle Mead, NJ. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care in a supportive and safe environment. With a focus on leadership, you will manage nursing staff, oversee patient care, and ensure adherence to program policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities:- Lead and manage nursing staff, ensuring patient care aligns with the facility's mission and regulatory standards.
- Act as a liaison for admissions and ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision during shifts, including managing emergencies.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff.
- Address and resolve conflicts diplomatically with patients, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering professional development and ensuring compliance with mandatory training.
- Oversee staff scheduling and adjust based on census and patient acuity levels.
- Participate in recruitment, staff evaluations, and competency assessments.
- Encourage diversity and inclusivity within the team.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and graduation from an accredited RN program.
- At least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with 1 year in a leadership role.
- Active NJ State RN license and a valid driver's license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience with IV Therapy.
