Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Program Director for a Medical Laboratory Science program in a prominent healthcare network. This leadership role involves managing the program's overall operation, including administration, planning, and compliance with NAACLS accreditation standards. The Program Director will also act as the Safety Officer for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization, development, and continuous evaluation of the Medical Laboratory Science program.
- Manage faculty appointments, program reviews, and curriculum updates.
- Serve as the primary contact between the program and its academic and clinical affiliates.
- Handle all aspects of student admissions and program completion certifications.
- Maintain records of final transcripts and certificates permanently.
- Ensure the program's adherence to safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification: Must hold an ASCP-BOC / ASCP-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, with prior management experience in a laboratory or academic setting.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications necessary for program administration.
