Job Overview:
We are seeking an MRI Technician to perform a variety of MRI procedures requiring strong independent judgment and technical expertise. This role demands applying your MRI skills efficiently to help in patient diagnoses. You may also be given supervisory or instructional responsibilities for MRI staff, depending on department needs.
Key responsibilities include ensuring patient care aligns with hospital protocols, maintaining patient confidentiality, and upholding high standards of infection control and safety in line with OSHA guidelines. In this role, you'll be expected to operate and troubleshoot PACS, HIS, RIS, and imaging systems and attend annual mandatory training sessions on bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and other department-required competencies.

Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum requirement of student training in MRI or diagnostic radiology.
- Education:
- Must have completed formal AMA approved program for MRI.
- Certification:
- CPR certification required.
- ARRT(MR) certification within two years of hire.
- Massachusetts Radiography License preferred.
- ARRT(RTR) preferred.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Commitment to attending all mandatory education sessions.
- Proficient in operating MRI and diagnostic radiology equipment.
- Knowledge of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
- Strong patient care and infection control practices.
