Director of Emergency Services (Sanford, NC)

The Director of Emergency Services will oversee and manage the operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring optimal patient care, efficient workflow, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, managing department budgets, and promoting staff professional development. The Director will work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other administrative team members to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
 

Key responsibilities include:

• Staff development and fostering evidence-based clinical practices.
• Managing resources, including personnel and supplies, to ensure productivity.
• Budget management and fiscal accountability.
• Leading quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
   

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in the Emergency Department (Manager role or above).
   

• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MSN, MHA, etc.).
• Experience in a community hospital Emergency Department setting.
