Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Process computer data and produce diagnostic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and health care standards.
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist Training Program.
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification upon hire -OR- National Registered Technologist (ARRT-NM) certification upon hire.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Recent experience in nuclear medicine: Either 6 months of experience within the last year or 2 years of full-time experience with no more than a 1-year absence from the field.
- 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (this is not required for recent graduates from an approved training program).
