We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager for the Intensive Treatment Unit to join a team focused on delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves leading nursing staff, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. As a key leader, you will promote a culture of respect, trust, and safety for patients, families, and team members.

• Ensure quality patient care in alignment with organizational policies and standards.
• Supervise nursing staff and provide administrative leadership in the absence of senior personnel.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and liaise with Access staff to assess admission appropriateness.
• Oversee patient care delivery in a safe, therapeutic environment while adhering to regulatory compliance.
• Conduct chart audits, manage safety hazards, and ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and direction to nursing staff while encouraging professional development.
• Address conflicts diplomatically and resolve ethical issues related to patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Support staff in completing mandatory training and maintaining compliance with performance evaluations.
• Monitor staffing needs and adjust schedules based on patient census and acuity levels.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree and RN accreditation from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).

Preferred:

• MSN degree.
• Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
• Experience with IV therapy.
