About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to lead the development, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications within a financial institution. This role will focus on enhancing the organization's core banking system and related technologies, ensuring high-performance solutions aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to drive application development efforts. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence at least 50% of the time over a two-week pay period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of core developers, overseeing project execution, technical guidance, and career development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units and IT, to design and implement enterprise solutions.
  • Manage software development processes, ensuring best practices in version control, testing, and agile project management.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for integrated solutions and stay informed on technology roadmaps.
  • Define and implement continuous improvement strategies for application management and system efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with coding, security, and regulatory standards.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • At least Six (6) years' experience with financial institution technologies such as Jack Henry (Symitar, Synapsys, Synergy, SymXchange, ARCU), MeridianLink, Encompass, Alkami, COTS, Image Center, OpCon, etc.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with software development methodologies, version control, and testing practices.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams, mentoring developers, and driving project success.
  • Ability to effectively influence executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of agile project management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Symitar/PowerOn / RepGen development and integration.
  • Familiarity with IBM AIX operating system.
  • Proficiency in SQL development, HTML, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience implementing engineering processes.
