Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join a highly skilled medical team in Houston, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with pediatric patients in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. You’ll be part of a specialized heart care team, working with top-tier physicians and utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to support critical diagnoses and treatment plans.
This position requires travel to various outpatient clinics in the Houston area and collaboration with specialists in multiple hospital units, including the NICU, PICU, CVOR, and Pediatric Cath Labs.
  • Schedule
    Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
What You’ll Do
  • Perform high-quality pediatric echocardiograms, including advanced imaging modalities.
  • Work closely with cardiologists to assess and diagnose complex congenital heart conditions.
  • Travel to multiple outpatient clinics to provide specialized imaging services.
  • Participate in ongoing cardiac training and mentorship programs.
  • Assist in onboarding new sonographers and supporting their professional development.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with established protocols and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support performance improvement activities to enhance patient care.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography program.
  • Active registry certification in one of the following:
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
    • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
    • RDCS PE (Pediatric Echocardiography)
  • Experience or post-graduation training specifically in pediatric echocardiography (New graduates or candidates without pediatric experience cannot be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
