Chartwell Law’s Marketing and Business Development Department seeks a talented and creative Content Specialist to help promote our dynamic and growing firm’s brand through traditional and content marketing and associated content related initiatives. The Content Specialist works collaboratively with other professional staff across departments and attorneys firmwide to write, edit, and leverage enterprise-wide content efforts – including but not limited to thought leadership pieces, marketing and business development material, website and intranet content, nominations, press releases, and social media/other digital and print communications.

If you have copywriting and content experience in a professional services setting, along with a knack for translating complex business and legal topics into engaging content, we want to hear from you and see samples of your work. 

The successful candidate must be an exceptional writer who can successfully manage the full cycle of content—long-form and short-form—from ideation to execution. This position requires a self-starter who has outstanding organizational and project management skills and, someone who thrives in a team environment working closely with other specialized skillsets contributing to a singular project. Job Description:
  • Write and edit copy for a broad range of applications, including website content, print brochures, newsletters, press releases, email marketing, social media, advertisements, invitations, attorney publications, and more
  • Write and edit attorney and other professional biographies including annual updates
  • Work with attorneys and other internal stakeholders on writing and editing award nominations and surveys as well as other industry submissions
  • Collaborate with Business Development team in the drafting of RFPs
  • Responsible for the drafting and editing of case studies, legal trends, experience narratives, and other internal and external case and matter information
  • Collaborate with Chartwell attorneys, administrative professionals within other departments, and other creative professionals within the in-house Marketing and Business Development team to deliver campaigns and collateral pieces that raise brand awareness and drive business growth
  • Interview subject-matter experts to produce engaging content for legal and business audiences
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of internal communication including intranet posts, newsletters, internal documentation and notices, and email communication
  • Coordinate and execute the firm’s PR strategy consistent with department and firm objectives
  • Coordinate and participate in various marketing communications initiatives, and contribute to strategy and workflow development
  • Act as the editorial adviser on multiplatform marketing projects, consulting with creative, brand, and digital marketing to develop editorial content
  • Play a key role in branding the firm through a sophisticated and business-minded yet personable, engaging, and accessible voice

Requirements
 
  • At least three to five years of writing-intensive experience in a business or agency environment
  • Experience and proven success with professional services marketing, publishing, and/or business media; law firm experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing/public relations, journalism or related discipline required
  • Excellent verbal communication and exceptional business writing skills
  • Proven ability to interpret complex legal and business topics and produce creative, engaging copy
  • Skilled editor and proofreader
  • Experience supporting multiple members of management in a proactive manner
  • PR experience, including pitches, and working with writers, editors, and/or other members of the media
  • Ability to handle changing project criteria, multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, organized team player with positive attitude
  • Fluency in MS Office, online research, and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Ideal candidate should be motivated with the goal of becoming a long-term asset within the organization
  • Familiarity with Monday.com project management software is a plus

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000
