Position is Temp-Hire and will pay based on experience. 

Position Summary:
Responsible for various types of weld preparation from basic welding to finish welded products per fabrication drawings, specifications and/or other forms of fabrication instructions. Fits various pipe, plate and structural steel applications. Supports spray and/or hand painting of finish products, as needed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
 Uses basic cutting torch and other welding tools/machines.
 Cut and Prep pipe and plate for welding.
 Bolts up pipe work using wrenches and sockets.
 Understands hand or machine threads Pipe.
 Basic Blueprint Reading, understanding 3D and 2D drawings to cut and fabricate structural piping parts
 Operate fork lift and walk behind to support moving of material into work areas
 Operate Hydro pressure testing equipment
 Hydro Pressure test assembled products
 Prepares assembled goods for painting
 Operate the paint booth and responsible for the maintaining of the paint equipment
 Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position. Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
 Adheres to 6S objectives, as appropriate.

 High school diploma or equivalent with minimum welding training.
 Knowledge of basic blueprint reading with ability to operate welding machines.
 Demonstrate basic welding applications.
 Ability to use basic cutting torch and other welding tools/machines
 Understands hand or machine pipe threads
 Basic Blueprint Reading, understanding 3D and 2D drawings to determine routing of pipe, layout for cuts and setting of equipment.

Certifications Preferred/Required:
 Must be able to pass forklift and walk behind certification test
 Must be able to pass a Respirator fit test.
 Basic computer skills with ability to learn industry specific software system
