Job Description:
Associate will fabricate and assemble structural steel and sheet metal weldments used in industrial equipment projects. Using blueprints and supervisors’ guidance, associate will cut and notch structural elements (angles, channels, beams, etc.) and assemble the structural frame. Sheetmetal components will be welded and attached to structural frames. Associate will assemble various mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, and motors to complete the assemblies.

Skills Required:
- Read and follow blueprints.
- Weld structural steel frames and sheet metal and select the proper techniques among MIG, SMAW, and TIG. (Materials include mild steel, stainless steel, and coated steel such as galvanized.)
- Use of tools and equipment normal to the work such as welding machine, cutting equipment, forklifts and cranes, etc.
- Fit and assemble mechanical components.
- Create metal fabrications in accordance with drawings, instruction sheets and verbal instruction.
- Work on feet all day and lift up to 50 pounds.
Salary:
- $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
Experience:
- Welding/Fabricating: 1 year (Required)
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
