Shipper/ Receiver (Concord, ON)

Job Summary:

Physically handle all incoming and outgoing shipments, the handling of all related documentation, and the maintenance of inventories and the scheduling of maintenance of related vehicles for PTI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unloads the shipment and places it in inventory at the appropriate place.
• Distributes incoming packages as required
• Prepares all documentation required for shipping
• Maintains PTI warehouse and computer, bin, aisle, and raw material designation
• Maintains oversight of finished goods in warehouse and shipping
• Maintains oversight of inspection, acceptance, rejection of incoming products as required through ISO controls and procedures.
• Advises management of non-confirming product for NCR issuance
• Completes customer’s distribution and communication requirements
• Arranges PTI driver routing
• Arranges outside driver transport scheduling
• Schedules maintenance services for Trucks, trailers, tow-motors and forklifts.
• Inputs all receiving in receiving log
• Demonstrates good judgement in examining and resolving problems and respects the confidentiality of company business, customers, and other personnel (pay, etc.)
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to enter data into our PC based software program
• Ability to speak and write effectively
• Must have good organizational and time management skills
• Good understanding of computers

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or two- four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Corrugator experience preferred

Working Conditions:

• High heat and noise levels
• Office environment, photocopiers, printers, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb steps
• Ability to work in shifts
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
