About the Role
Maintenance Technicians oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of assigned properties. The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the CCH team and helps keep our properties, focused on serving senior citizens, running smoothly. You ensure upkeep and safety of the property, and will jump in and work alongside the team. Work involves indoor and outdoor environments and flexibility to adapt to unplanned events, while remaining resourceful and efficient.

Primary Responsibilities
Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, mopping, emptying trash, replacing light bulbs, etc.
Assist in enforcing safety regulations; identify and report and/or correct safety hazards.
Provide excellent customer service while working with residents.
Keep public areas clean by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, cleaning, waxing, etc.
Keep sidewalks, walkways, outdoor areas, and garage/parking areas clean and free of debris
Clean and resupply public and employee restrooms.
Notify supervisor of items that need repair or replacement, and as required by supervisor, may also assist with routine maintenance work such as repair and replacement
Wash windows and shampoo carpets on a regular schedule
Move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
Keep custodial supply area clean and orderly.
Regularly attends staff and safety meetings and complete assigned safety training.

Qualifications and Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years as a Maintenance Tech
Working Knowledge of Yardi Software
CCH conducts background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Satisfactory completion of background check is a requirement of employment with CCH.  
A valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are essential job requirements.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Prior experience in apartment maintenance, affordable housing UPCS/REAC Inspections and resident occupied project renovations.
Proficient with YARDI, Microsoft Office 365 platform and ability to quickly learn the organization’s other systems.
Ability to serve with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements
Generally extensive physical exertion is required. Prolonged periods of walking, bending, climbing, manual manipulations and use of hand tools. Must be able to regularly lift, move and carry items over 50lbs. Occasional sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional local travel required as necessary to fulfill assigned duties. Must be able to access and navigate property locations and the organization’s various offices.
