Who is LBJ Infrastructure Group?
The LBJ Express is currently the largest P3 operation in Texas and one of the largest ever undertaken in the U.S. With an Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) of 270,000, it is a regionally-significant transportation improvement project in North Texas that is relieving severe congestion in the dense urban area of north Dallas. In 2009, the Cintra-led consortium was selected to complete the design, construction, finance, and operation and maintenance of the project along I-635 and I-35E. Since opening in September 2015, approximately three months ahead of schedule, the general highway lanes are realizing a 60% decrease in congestion time and a 10% increase in average speed.

Your next calling:
As the Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with business stakeholders to develop central systems requirements and functionality, development of test requirements, implementation and testing of central systems, tracks results and records and escalates system performance issues.  Vision assisting the Central Systems Manager to monitor and support day to day operations of the central systems to ensure on time and accurate billing of toll transactions; accurate reconciliation of all revenue; accurate reporting of revenue and traffic; ensuring managed lane customers experience a predictable and reliable experience. 

Functions key to success:
  • Work with the business stakeholders to identify system defects and enhancements
  • Actively escalate system issues to CTS support team and system owner 
  • Assist business stakeholders with day to day operational activities
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering with key business stakeholders 
  • Participate in design reviews of functional requirements and test cases 
  • Documenting customer requirements, evaluating business process implications, and creation of technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, and plans
  • Ensure system changes are in compliance with the requirements outlined in Toll Services Agreement (TSA) and Comprehensive Development Agreement (CDA)
  • Ensure proper documentation and deliverables are created and maintained for all project work
  • Performing quality assurance checks on software, which includes testing and validating the product developed matches customer requirements
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to make progress on assignments where little information is initially available
  • Ensure on time delivery of software deliverables by actively setting deliverable milestones, managing on time completion of milestones, prioritizing activities and anticipate/escalate potential project delays
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing in Pre-Production and provide assistance during Production validation
  • Monitor the deployment of system code changes and provide needed post release assistance to business stakeholders
  • Review and verify test evidences and record and track resolution of all defects and system performance issues ensuring adheres to Business Rules and Business Processes
  • Reporting and tracking of key performance indicators  
  • Work with the relevant business stakeholders to develop reporting requirements, manage development, test and implement
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are documented as required
  • All other tasks as assigned
What you bring to the table:
You’ve worked hard to achieve success in your educational career, now put it to use. If you have a Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Quality, Technology Management or a related field, you are half way there with the needed abilities for this position. Have you been working for at least 0-3+ years in the field of business analysis and/software Quality Assurance? Experience in toll industry transaction processing is preferred.  If the answer is yes, you can check off another box. Finally, project/program management or management experience with management or coordination of multiple teams in a technology systems environment would be the cherry on top.

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other PC based programs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Visio.
Our working environment:
LBJ & NTE want to ensure that all employees are comfortable and able to work in the type of culture and environment we have built our business on. Our office is typically quiet with low noise levels; however, you will often hear employees laughing and commiserating amongst themselves. Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others. You will probably spend a majority of your time sitting and/or walking around the office, whether to visit a co-worker or make it to a meeting on time and there may be occasional long hours to put in if you are diligently working to complete a project and finish a report.  Finally, there may be some light travel involved with this role!
