All trainees from Australia, Portugal, Spain and United States will have the opportunity to visit Cintra’s global headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

What to expect? 

Be a part of the team who ensures the continued success of our projects. An Operations and Maintenance Engineering Intern will assist in the design review, documentation review, analysis, reporting, and research as it relates to the Tolling, ITS and NCS subsystems to be installed on the I-66 Outside the Beltway corridor.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide documentation review and comment on the following:
    • Field system design
    • Project Management Plans, Maintenance Plans, Training Plans, Safety Plans, Communication Plans, etc.
  • Field System inspections and documentation of findings regarding proper installation and placement of foundations, ground boxes, conduit runs / layout, electrical service points, etc.
  • Attend meetings with 3rd parties, take minutes / notes, circulate to the management team
  • Prepare presentations, reports, track installation progress, and other necessary data to be used within the Field Systems Department

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience or exposure in the field is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Microstation experience is preferred

Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others. You will be frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
