Who is I-77?
I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is financing, developing, designing, constructing, operating and maintaining the 26-mile I-77 Express project as part of a public-private partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The tolled express lanes run adjacent to the general-purpose lanes on I-77 between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville. I-77 Mobility Partners is responsible for operations and maintenance of all lanes, both express and general purpose, and right of way within the designated project corridor limits.

Your next calling: 
As the Senior Compliance & Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to with the responsibility and authority for ensuring the establishment, maintenance of, and compliance with, the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Developer Management Plan (DMP). 

Functions key to success:
  • Implement quality and compliance control procedures including audit procedures for all other departments within I-77 MP
  • Collaborate with management team to make sure that the entire company is aware of compliance requirements of the Quality Management System, as per contract developed by NCDOT, and I-77 Mobility Partners (I-77MP).
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Annual Management Review process to assess the effectiveness of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and the Developer Management Plan (DMP), making adjustments to either as deemed necessary
  • Oversee the Quality Management and I-77 Document Control Systems. Including distribution, filing, retention, revision tracking and indexing of Project-related documents as appropriate
  • Review, update, approve and distribute the quality documents and maintain a register of distribution.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the quality documentation, including non-conformance reports, corrective action reports, quality documentation reports, and letters related to quality work, for the Developer
  • Take action in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome them
  • Ensure that appropriate personnel receives training on the Quality Management System and the Developer Management Plan
  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary

What you bring to the table:
You have worked hard to achieve success in your educational career, now put it to use. If you have a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience, you are halfway there with the needed abilities for this position. Do you have at least 7 - 10+ years of experience in quality control or corporate policy auditing, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001? If the answer is yes, that would be the cherry on top.
 
With success comes a high level of professionalism. We already know you possess the following qualities, but we just wanted to remind you of what is important to I-77:
  • Risk assessment skills are crucial for a successful compliance specialist as a large part of their work duties are identifying noncompliance risks
  • Communication skills ensure that the compliance specialist can successfully communicate their findings, ideas and plans to both management and employees
  • Attention to detail is needed to spot certain aspects of rules and regulations that can easily be overlooked
  • Moral integrity is important because the compliance specialist typically needs to understand and promote the importance of complying with rules and regulations
  • Problem-solving skills are necessary because many compliance issues have no straightforward solution and compliance specialist need to find ways of complying with rules and regulations without negatively affecting the company's operations
 
Finally, in a technology-driven world, it is important to know your way around a computer. For this role, it will be important to know the basics of the following:
  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and other PC based programs

Our working environment:
I-77 wants to ensure that all employees are comfortable and able to work in the type of culture and environment we have built our business on. Our office is typically quiet with low noise levels; however, you will often hear employees laughing and talking amongst themselves. Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others. You will probably spend a majority of your time sitting and/or walking around the office, whether to visit a co-worker or make it to a meeting on time and there may be occasional long hours to put in if you are diligently working to complete a project and finish a report. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, as necessary to use a computer.  There could be a time when you may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, but not very often.
