CPP Syracuse is looking for full time caster on weekend shift (Friday-Sunday 3a-3p) to join our aerospace team! Positions start at $23.99 per hour and we offer a quarterly bonus program. We are currently offering $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST & BACKGROUND STUDY PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

Major Responsibilities

Responsible for interpreting melting and casting specifications for an Air melt unit.
Ability to set up air and/or vacuum unit to meet required melting parameters.
Must be able tolerate high heat temperatures and handling molten metal.
Responsible for leading the pouring process
Required to perform the functions of a Shell Puller and a Patch & Wrap Operator as needed.
Maintain excellent attendance
Ability to follow written procedures and standard work
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license may be required
Experience: Entry Level Position but foundry experience preferred – Prior manufacturing experience a plus

Working Conditions:

Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
Manufacturing requires repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
