CPP-Boston has an exciting opportunity for an entry level candidate with AP experience and a background in manufacturing for our facility located in Braintree, MA.  This position is responsible for the completing payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.  We are looking for a self-reliant, engaging Accounts Payable Clerk with fantastic clerical skills and a great aptitude for AP and front desk skills. This is a part time role with hours from 9AM-3PM; Monday-Friday. PT staff have the option of participating in the benefits plan.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices for CCP Wollaston Alloys Inc. Includes entering invoice data, applying against purchase orders (if applicable) and obtaining/verifying appropriate management approvals.
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve account issues/questions.
  • Support the buyer and managers by answering questions, providing copies of invoices, or other information as needed.
  • Work with purchasing agent to resolve Hold Report issues for month end.
  • Process vendor payments in accordance with established terms, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Match payment vouchers to invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • File vendor invoices for recordkeeping purposes.
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Tracking Budget Expenses, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information , Accounting, Vendor Relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills

Education and Experience:
•             Education: Associate Degree
•             Experience: Minimum 2 years on-the-job experience or a 2 year degree.
•             Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills, Ability to multi task
