The Outside Processing Purchasing Manager is responsible for all Outside Process purchases at all CPP NA Operations facilities including sourcing, bidding and negotiating contracts with vendors.  Supply Chain Management Scorecards for OTIF, OP Demand Planning, and OP critical Supply Capacity are developed and used to improve performance internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing, bidding, negotiating, administering, and managing Outside Process direct materials purchases for CPP NA
  • Reviewing proposals to make supplier selections
  • Manage vendor pricing agreements, including Terms & Conditions, and negotiate pricing. This includes an awareness and understanding of the volume of parts purchased and options for alternative suppliers
  • Manage external tooling cost and life reporting for all current product and NPI Wax Pattern and Cores.   Work with site  Engineering to finalize the purchasing phase of NPI projects; ensuring the project needs are procured correctly
  • Obtaining, documenting, and tabulating quotes on items covered by existing contracts and researching and resolving discrepancies with suppliers
  • Ensuring Outside Process services offer consistent quality, reliability, and availability to meet required schedules
  • Develops and maintains Supply Chain Outside Process Supplier Scorecards for delivery performance, cost reduction, and lead-time improvement.  Develops Demand Planning and Capacity Planning reports for critical outside processes.
  • Monitoring frequency of purchases and recommending and implementing options to increase effectiveness of purchasing power
  • Setting goals, establishing priorities, managing resources, developing concepts and approaches, reviewing project progress and results, and making appropriate management decisions relating to purchasing procedures
  • Monitoring and gathering data related to planned cost savings initiatives against actual savings and reporting information to management
  • Responsible for providing leadership to site OP Buyers and Schedulers which includes coaching & mentoring
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience 
  •  7+ years experience in aviation and aerospace industry investment and sand casting Outside Processe Buyer/Procurement/Supply Chain role
  • 3 - 5 years in a leadership role
  • Attention to detail and ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR preferred
  • Ability to travel 50% - 75%
