Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), and aerospace and defense manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a HR Generalist to join our team!

Job Summary:

The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Site Leadership Team. This position is involved in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirement and government reporting regulations affecting human resources function and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, duties, qualification and skills. 
  • Works with HR team to Recruit, interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions both through the internal and external job posting program.  Adheres to AAP and all legal requirements for job posting and hiring process.
  • Administer and process time and attendance via ADP E-Time system.
  • Administer and process payroll forms.
  • Monitor attendance facility wide
  • Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system.
  • Employee new hire, orientation, development, and training logistics and recordkeeping.
  • Compensation and benefits administration and record keeping.
  • Maintains FMLA program and record keeping.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating company events.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and ability to multi task are essential.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Excellent Attendance/Reliability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s degree, degree in Human Resources preferred.  Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:  Verbal Communication in English a must. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees at all levels of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; ADP Work Force Now and Time and Attendance Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
