DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operator will be required to:
  • Operate hand tools to straighten/bend aluminum parts into a required profile relating to straightness and concentricity per customer blueprint requirements.
     
    REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to operate hammers, mallets, sanders, and other manual tools
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Follow technique cards
  • Basic pictorial understanding desired – but not required
  • Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools desired – but not required
     
    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
    High school diploma or equivalent preferred – but not required.
    Previous experience on operating manual tools preferred – but not required.
     
    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Must be able to communicate in English – desired.

    While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand all day; frequently required to walk and use both hands to handle parts and operate hand tools; reach with both arms and hands; talk and hear.  The employee will be required to lift objects up to 40 pounds.  Close vision is required.  Must be willing to work in a dirty/dust-filled environment.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to pounding noise and dust.  
     
    SAFETY REQUIREMENTS / GUIDELINES: Employee must follow department safety guidelines and general foundry safety rules.  Safety regulations are posted in the department and throughout the foundry
