Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has an immediate need for a CMM Operator to join our team on second shift.  This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.  This person will operate Coordinate Measuring Machines and use metrology tools to ensure an accurate casting measurement inspection for internal and external customers.  Experience is necessary.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Load and run proper CMM programs for respective parts and products based on instructions
  • Calibrate, operate and troubleshoot programs for the CMM
  • Perform ultrasonic wall inspections on castings using the Thickness Determination Method (TDM)
  • Conduct dimensional audits and production inspections
  • Interact with Team Leaders, Engineers and Manufacturing Managers regarding measurement inspection matters
  • Complete and document preventative maintenance on measurement machines and tools
  • Utilize Oracle database management system to track product throughout operation
  • Assist CMM programmers when necessary
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be able to read and write legibly
  • Two to three years’ experience as a CMM Operator or related work
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
