Consolidated Precision Products Rancho Cucamonga (, an Inland Empire Foundry, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of highly-engineered precision metal components and sub-assemblies products. We are currently seeking a Welder- 2nd Shift to join our team.
The Welder shall be responsible primarily for performing all required duties relating to Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of Investment (aluminum and stainless steel) castings.
  • Ability to weld by method of GTAW for rework, repair and cosmetic upgrade in accordance with customer specifications and internal procedures.
  • Evaluate castings to ensure preparation from prior operation is adequate.
  • Weld repair aluminum and steel casting defects to meet Penetrant and X-ray specifications
  • Assess the condition of the castings to determine weld technique.
  • Perform additional weld preparation with the use of die and belt grinders.
  • Operate and maintain welding machines and equipment.
  • Ability to document weld locations and dimensions.
  • Ability to weld in chamber.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to cooperate and work effectively with others.
  • Ability to regularly appear for work.

  • HS/GED Required
  • Must meet Weld Test of AWS D17.1 with weld thickness
  • 3-5 years in Investment casting process experience or relative field a plus
  • NADCAP certification on all assigned alloys (aluminum and stainless steel) a must
  • Ability to read a blue print in order to determine and measure features and tolerances is a must
  • Knowledge of AS 9100 requirements is a plus
  • Bilingual –English/Spanish is a Plus
