Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking experienced Finish Grinders/Profilers  on 1st or 2nd shift to join our aerospace team! This role reports to a Production Supervisor at our foundry in Bloomington, MN and is considered a key member of the CPP-Minneapolis team, working closely with the downstream operation team on a daily basis. Major Responsibilities
  • Performs grinding, polishing, benching operations on aerospace castings ranging from a few inches to 7 ft. in length
  • Considers and evaluate weight requirements in order to remove material while maintaining form, fit and function of customer components and specifications
  • Reviews and verifies all documentation is correct and available (travelers, special instructions, etc.)
  • Utilizes ergonomic tools and hoists required,  lifting castings onto work table, with weighted and operates various hand grinders and related tools and equipment to remove all undesirable metal and blemishes from castings
  • Measures complex casting geometries using hand tools (scales, calipers, gages, etc)
  • Inspects all finished castings and performs simple rework, as required
  • Examines or measures castings for conformance to standards
About You
  • One or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing similar duties
  • General mechanical aptitude to use hand tools, air tools, and measuring devices
  • Safety focused
  • Reliable, dependable and open to learning new skills
  • Ability to work occasional OT and weekends
  • GED/Diploma preferred
