CPP-Syracuse is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for the Air Craft and Industrial Gas Turbine industry. We have over 275 employees currently working in our Chittenango, NY facility.
We are currently looking for an experienced individual for our Wax department.
Wax Assembler – This position the successful candidate to perform all required duties relating to evaluating wax molds/assemblies both visually and dimensionally in accordance with instructions included in pertinent CPP Syracuse operating procedures. This position will also require the successful candidate to be responsible for working from instructions and prescribed routines to prepare molds for investing. The candidate will also be responsible for visually inspecting and repairing defects in patterns, keep leadership fully informed of any irregularities or concerns. Also they will be responsible for the adherence to all safety policies, practice and procedures. . The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and have the ability to maintain attention to detail and multitask.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Internal Method Sheets (IMS). Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers and leadership. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
