CPP-Rancho Cucamonga is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for Aerospace industry.
CPP-Rancho Cucamonga has an immediate need for an experienced Back-End Manager to join our team! This position reports to the Site Plant Manager. This key position is responsible for leading all operations including meeting or exceeding expectations of our shareholders, customers and employees.  This position provides strategic leadership to the site supervisory team in continuous improvement efforts, cost control and operational efficiency. It also involves managing and directing all manufacturing functions for the processing side of the plant in accordance with customer requirements, company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Make sure hourly employees in assigned department receive adequate training and support.
  • Ensure product quality.
  • Overseeing and driving continuous improvement in the performance of equipment and processes.
  • Working on specified projects and being accountable for their successful completion.
  • Preparing and maintaining budgets as needed.
  • Perform record keeping duties for assigned staff.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and productive physical department.
  • Responsible for employee training, performance, safety, implementation of company policies and related human resource functions.
  • Collaborates with Product and Industrial Engineers in the development and design of new products and the setting of ‘standard’ times for operations.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime and good attendance
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 year of Investment Casting/Forging experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of overhaul repair experience, preferred.
  • 1-2 years of welding supervision experience in a manufacturing environment (TIG welding), preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (engineering discipline preferred), preferred.  
  • Experience: 2+ years of mid to senior leadership role managing multiple direct reports with emphasis in process improvement.
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to focus operational teams on improving performance against customer & shareholder expectations.
  • Lead with high integrity and strong values that focus on positive employee relations and continually improving environmental, health and safety performance.
  • Display leadership capability to assess situations and make appropriate decisions in a timely manner. P&L budget management.
  • Ability to understand and execute on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mind-set and ability to understand and organize data.
