Daily set up of work station, clean, patch and audit cores as required and assigned per schedule. Inspect finished cores and release them to production. Perform daily housekeeping. Perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.

  • Inspect cores for damages or missing hardware
  • Clean sand excess, per M.I.S.’s using cutting files and flashlight.
  • Patch and Paint cores as specified on M.I.S.’s.
  • Remove imperfections from cores utilizing necessary materials
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting (foundry is a plus)

  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must understand the basics of what the job entails or is willing to learn the process. This position is hands-on and with moving parts involved
  • Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility
  • Required PPE: PEE varies throughout the plant, check with area Supervisor to ensure proper PPE is being used
