Perform high skilled maintenance tasks on state of the art equipment. Job duties include troubleshooting and repairing foundry equipment using standard Maintenance skills. Perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. Other maintenance duties depending on company and departmental needs. Position will train on 1st shift.

  • Review preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
  • Communicate with Operators pre- and post-repair.
  • Interact with Operators to troubleshoot, repair and test equipment.
  • Communicate with Team Leader and/or Maintenance Supervisor on major repair needs discovered.
  • Complete, sign and submit work orders.
  • Complete safety checklist on all work.
  • Complete order list of equipment and supplies to be ordered.
  • Call outside contractors as appropriate.
  • Sign off on contractor work orders.
  • Review new equipment standard issues.
  • Follow lock-out, tag out procedures.
  • Repair machines as needed.
  • Build and rebuild foundry equipment.
  • Attend annual RCRA training and other training as appropriate.
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Experience: At least five years’ hands-on maintenance experience. Basic PLC troubleshooting skills. Mig and stick welding experience

  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  In depth knowledge of the trades with 5+ years’ experience in electronic systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems. Knowledge of electrical testing equipment. Knowledge of troubleshooting tree. PLC troubleshooting skill. Skilled in use of standard mechanical hand tools. Good interpersonal skills. Good follow-up skills. Ability to troubleshoot majority of hi-tech plant equipment with no supervision. Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot equipment from 24 volt to 480 volt. Welding experience (stick or mig). Ability to operate mobile maintenance equipment:  forklift, scissor lift, man lift. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics. Ability to troubleshoot and program Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Ability to interact with a wide variety of people. Self-control. Persistence. Detail orientation. Curiosity about new products and processes. Good judgment.
