JOB SUMMARY
To route castings requiring rework following master routing schedule, under general supervision, consistent with established and accepted standards of quality and quantity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Routes casting to the appropriate departments, based on the type of rework required, following guidelines provided in the master routing schedule.
  • Maintains accurate files of all rework travelers in a manner that provides for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintains melt and heat treat logs to provide for accurate record keeping.
  • As required, tracks down and locates lost travelers and castings or issues new travelers and related paperwork if necessary.
  • Handles all castings returned by customers and determines proper rework requirements and routings.
  • Reviews and makes any necessary changes on NMR (Nonconforming Material Report) forms required for accurate record keeping.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 2 years welding/grinding experience
