Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently looking for a Plant Controller at our Rancho facility for to join our team!

Major Responsibilities
  • Understand ERP Platform and Platinum and the bridge between the two systems.
  • Be knowledgeable of the Order entry, invoicing, purchasing processes, AR and AP procedures.
  • Understand the cost centers & departments within the business unit on the factory floor and within CERP
  • Take ownership of Day 5 Finance file, Daily P&L, ME close, ME reporting, Forecasting, weekly KPI, Floqast acct recs.
  • Perform daily and weekly line walks to help the plant better understand productivity, throughput, and Cost per ESH.
  • Interpret productivity reports and Daily P&L reports within the manufacturing facility and identify opportunities for improvements. Communicate these to the GM 
  • Support plant management in the determination of margins and drivers by part number or programs to identify corrective actions and profit improvement initiatives.
  • Work with HR to make sure all labor costs are updated and are accurate. Ensure all direct and indirect employees are identified properly.
  • Verify that all BOM items are accurate and help the plant management team develop new part standards.
  • Lead the discussions regarding the Standard cost P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow statements in Day 5 finance file
  • Put bridge notes together in the Day 5 financial file that explain the WHY
  • Participate and be knowledgeable of all safety and environmental issues associated with the business units.
  • Take ownership of the ME close process.  JE done in 3 days, Forecast and Bridge notes done by day 5
  • Lead the financial discussions during monthly BUR meetings (P&L, BS, Cash flow, Bridge notes)
  • Help prepare the monthly BUR reporting package and be a partner to your GM and the plant to help facilitate this.   
  • Review and approve AP coding on large invoices. Make sure invoices are properly approved and processed on time.
  • Support all audit related requests and schedules.
  • Perform the RM and WIP calculations at Month-End and Determine reasonableness.
  • Develop and maintain controls over invoicing, tooling invoices/costing and WIP
  • Control all CAPEX projects and spending. Verify savings.
  • Lead the creation of the annual budget (P&L, Bal sheet, Cash flow) Interface with the plants purchasing, department leads and plant management to create the budget data. Be a partner to your GM in this process.
  • Develop a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Financial Cadence to help your department and plant succeed.
  • Be a partner to your GM in the forecasting process (P&L, BS and Cash flow)
  • Help your team develop their tool box (Daily P&L, Line walks, TOC’s(Inventory and Throughput), Vizion 360, Sales Cube
  • Make Cash Management a plant priority and lead the efforts to deliver your plants Net Cash Flow
  • List the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:
  • •Education: Accounting Degree or concentration in Accounting required.
  • •Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting management (Assistant Controller, Supervisor, Manager)
  • •Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - P&L, BS and Cash flow analysis, Cost Accounting, manufacturing industry background and Standard Cost P&L experience a plus.  Aerospace experience a plus.
