Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently looking for experienced production workers throughout our facility on 1st & 2nd shift to join our aerospace team! These roles report to a Production Supervisor at our foundry in Bloomington, MN and is a valuable member of the CPP-Minneapolis team.

Job Summary:
Operate machines to fabricate fixtures. Loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains safe, organized and clean work environment.  Additionally this position will operate and program CNC’s.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and build high quality fixtures for castings.
  • Repair and refurbish foundry fixtures
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
  • Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).
  • Build custom components for maintenance department
  • Read, understand, and interpret instructions & procedures including engineering blueprints accurately, including CAD models.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
  • Experience in micrometers, inside micrometers, calipers, and other tool shop an inspections equipment.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Vocational school degree in directly related field, preferably Machine Technology or Tool & Die making.
  • Experience: 3 years minimum CNC machining, setup, operating & inspecting.  Experience in micrometers, inside micrometers, calipers, and other tool shop an inspections equipment..  If no vocational degree, 5 to 7 years of directly related experience.  Proficient using CNC software (Surf Cam).
