Measure and record ultrasonic wall thickness of cored patterns. This position will be on 3rd shift but will train on 1st. 

  • Review and refer to Product Engineering Instructions (PEI) prior to ultrasonic wall reads.
  • Comply with and support AS9100 and Nadcap certification standards as well as customer specific standards.
  • Perform ultrasonic wall inspections on cored patterns using the Thickness Determination Method (TDM).
  • Record readings into database
  • Contact and confer with engineers regarding any pattern irregularities detected from ultrasonic wall readings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Actively participate in QVS and other Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Adhere to and enforce proper safety/security procedures and protocol.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: One to three years in manufacturing. Experience as an ultrasonic sound inspection technician preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Read. Write legibly. Basic computer skills. Ability to be thorough in accomplishing a task with concern for all the areas involved. Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving. Ability to read and to legibly write numbers and letters. Ability to effectively communicate with others.  Good interpersonal skills. Detail oriented.
