Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), a manufacturer of highly complex aluminum & magnesium aerospace castings is currently seeking Product Engineer Interns to join our team! This is a paid internship opportunity! These interns will report to the Director of Product Engineering at our plant in Bloomington, MN.  This position is a key member of the Engineering team, working closely with Quality and Production team members to assist with technical specifications of our products. This position will provide technical support to the Operations team throughout the manufacturing process in our dry sand foundry.

Major Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Production Employees for the manufacturing process of castings
  • Investigate, take corrective action, determine effectiveness of action and document any associated changes for technical problems that are identified
  • Works well in a collaborative environment to accomplish goals set by supervisor or management
  • Ability to communicate effectively between coworkers, supervisors, and management team
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
 
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma and enrolled in an Engineering Program
  • Experience:
  • Certifications/Licenses:  None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  CAD experience, Solidworks preferred.  Excellent written, verbal & presentation communications skills.  Ability to work effectively throughout all levels of the organization, including directly with our customersExcellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.  Strong mathematical skills.
