CPP- Eastlake- Knockout Operator - 3rd Shift (Eastlake, OH)

JOB SUMMARY
Perform tasks necessary to knockout cores from castings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE as listed in the work instructions.
Organizes tools necessary to complete assigned work and checks all documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.) which are available.
Read, understand, and follow all work instructions pertaining to tasks assigned.
Remove ceramic/wrapping from castings by striking gating with hammer or unwrapping molds by hand as instructed in the work instructions.
Separate individual castings from mold by cutting gating with angle grinder.
Cut angel wing gating and grain bars with angle grinder as required.
Completely fill out all required paperwork.
Move molds from knockout area to next operation both physically and in computer.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience: No prior experience required
Certifications/Licenses: None required
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Read. Write legibly. Ability to process new information. Basic computer skills. Reasoning ability. Good verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Detail oriented. Accurate. Safety conscious. Team oriented. Sense of urgency.
Ability to lift, carry and/or push up to 75 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working Environment: Factory floor area working with caustic and fumes
Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
