CPP- Eastlake- Quality Systems Engineering Co-op (Eastlake, OH)

JOB SUMMARY
Work with both Quality Systems Engineer and Quality Engineer(s) to complete short and long term projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Assist and support the Quality Systems Engineer by reviewing, correcting, editing and issuing Quality Management Systems documentation.
Work alongside customer specific Quality Engineers to review shipments and initiate Root Cause Corrective Actions to address customer concerns.
Follow specific instructions to carry out assignments.
Conduct periodic internal audits alongside Quality personnel and report out findings.
Create and or update Quality procedures used by plant employees.

KEY DIMENSIONS

Complete one large project that deals directly with Quality systems or Quality Engineering over the course of the term and report out to the Quality Manager.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS & LEADERSHIP

Work alongside the Quality Systems Engineer to improve QMS documentation.
Work alongside customer specific Quality Engineers to improve overall quality supplied to the customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 1 or more years of college
Experience: Programming experience with Python a plus.
Certifications/Licenses: None required
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail. - Microsoft Office Suite experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, detail orientated

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working Environment: Office/Shop Environment
Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing for extended periods of time extended periods of time using a computer screen. Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
Ability to lift up to 35lbs
Travel Requirements: 5-10%
Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
