Inject wax into dies to produce high quality wax patterns, soluble patterns, and gating for wax assembly to be used for the creation of molds. Carefully handle patterns to maintain integrity throughout injection process.


  • Review and refer to Product Engineering Instructions (PEI) for each pattern prior to wax injection.
  • Set wax press machine settings to appropriate levels per pattern PEI.
  • Set up and operate wax press(es) to heat and clean patterns and remove storage bolts.
  • Monitor press machine settings and adjust as needed.
  • Change dies as appropriate per PEI.
  • Visually inspect wax injected patterns for defects including cracks, air bubbles, flow lines, and dirt build up.
  • Scrap patterns that are unsuitable for mold creation.
  • Mark pattern part and employee number on the injected pattern.
  • Troubleshoot wax injection related issues.
  • Rack components to stage for assembly.
  • Refill wax tanks after every shift.
  • Comply with and support AS9100 and Nadcap certification standards as well as customer specific standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Adhere to and enforce proper safety/security procedures and protocol.

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: At least one year’s experience in manufacturing. Experience in injection pressing preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of injection pressing. The ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision making. Ability to be thorough in accomplishing a task with concern for all the areas involved. Ability to move your hands, arms, and fingers together to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects in a controlled manner for several hours. Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters. Quality conscious. Safety conscious. Mechanically inclined.  Detailed oriented.


  • Working Environment: Environmentally controlled wax room.
  • Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
  • Safety Glasses:  Needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Steel toe shoes:  Needed in all areas of the plant.
