Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm).  This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor at our plant in Braintree, MA and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Boston team, working closely with the Maintenance and Operations groups on a daily basis to minimize downtime.

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has an immediate need for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Wollaston Alloys Inc. location in Braintree, MA. Wollaston Alloys is a stainless steel and high alloy sand casting foundry that manufactures castings for the military and power generation industries.

Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible for safety compliance both personally and with equipment.
  • Perform the duties of inspecting, installing, repair and rebuild a variety of foundry equipment. Utilizing Drawings/ Print as required.
  • Diagnose and remedy trouble, determining necessary repairs, dismantles and reassembles equipment.
  • Perform machine operations to make simple replacement parts.
  • Changes set up and adjust equipment as required.
  • Obtain tools, materials/supplies through department supervisor.
  • Reports questionable matters to department supervisor.
  • Reports defective material/need of maintenance for equipment to supervisor.
  • Maintain tools and equipment; maintain work area in safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Observes all company rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as required or as directed.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School graduate, GED, Technical School graduate or equivalent training.
  • Experience: Desired - 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.  Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.  Welding experience a plus.
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.  Strong customer service focus.
