The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, coordinating, and communicating the production schedule to achieve appropriate inventory levels and ensure that on-time deliveries will be achieved in accordance with customer, corporate, and financial objectives. This position will monitor the status of production results and prepares reports on results against plan.

Major Responsibilities
  • Create daily production schedules and review with all relevant staff members
  • Coordinates scheduling of both dependent and independent demand.
  • Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to determine resource constraints and develop action plans to meet customer needs
  • Enter specific sales order information into the production schedule based on requested delivery dates and availability of materials & equipment
  • Records and tracks production progress daily and makes schedule adjustments and supply adjustments, as needed.
  • Maintain the production schedule for all upstream processes, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delay of raw materials and equipment availability
  • Act as the point of contact for WIP in the manufacturing process, ensuring accurate records are kept for castings currently in process
  • Analyze production data from QAD/MFGPro system exported to MS Excel, looking for trends and opportunities for improvement in the production scheduling process
  • Drives the deployment of the supply planning process and the overall S&OP process across the Manufacturing site.
  • Generates report on past due tracking and planning for all processes within the plant
  • Documentation of work instructions within the production control team
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent & Bachelor’s Degree in Supply chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field required
  • Experience: 5+ years previous experience in a Planning/Scheduling position required
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations
