CPP- Syracuse- Acid Etch Operator - 1st Shift (Chittenango, NY)

CPP-Syracuse is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for the Air Craft and Industrial Gas Turbine industry and has been in business for over 70 years. We have over 275 employees currently working in our Chittenango, NY facility.

We are currently looking for an individual for our Metal End department in the Acid Etch department. Current opening is on our 1st Shift Monday - Friday overtime as needed. Shift hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Attendance and reliability is critical. Current entry rate is $ 21.45 and will move to $ 22.51 at 6th moths. We currently offer a 5% bonus and $3,000 sign on bonus.

Acid Etch Operator – Perform all required duties relating to the Casting Etch operation to include chemical etch for grain size, grain evaluation to customer specifications and pre-FPI preparation. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to access all required documents and comprehend grain etch specifications.
Ability to examine etched objects to ensure conformance to standards.
Responsible for maintaining consistency of acid bath solutions.
Ability to drain, clean and refill tanks with appropriate chemicals.
Ability to maintain and update records, etch logs, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Entry Level Position – Prior manufacturing experience a plus
