Cavallo Point - the Lodge at the Golden Gate

Essential Functions:
  • Development and execution of a strategic (demand-based) pricing plan for all room types and distribution channels.
  • Conduct effective revenue management meetings.
  • Monitoring and understanding the pricing and product of competitors, the dynamics of the local markets and its demand generators.
  • To develop and maintain partnerships/relationships with key third-party business partners including OTA Market Managers.
  • Oversight of the positioning of the resort within the market and help maintain brand integrity
  • Creation of annual room revenue budgets and room revenue forecasts.
  • Help oversee revenue strategy as it pertains to annual marketing plans and public relations calendars for digital, print and PR to best utilize profit maximization.
  • Work in conjunction with eCommerce and digital marketing strategy; liaisons with brand representative on a monthly basis.
  • Actively work with Director of Sales and key sales and marketing managers to ensure maximization of revenues.
  • Conduct business review meetings and perform displacement analysis on groups to support decisions and provide a clear strategic direction for the property sales team.
  • Develop, monitor and adjust group pricing strategies, preferred pattern management,   and need periods.
  • Lead the annual RFP process for negotiated accounts and FIT accounts
  • Spearhead total revenue management approach and is involved in key decision making and strategy for all resort revenue centers.
  • Mentor, coach and supervise Reservations Manager and the reservations team to ensure that reservations are being converted and sold in order to maximize revenue.
  • Oversee the Reservations Manager to ensure that guest history is being captured in order to utilize for reporting and marketing purposes.

  • Support reservation manager with communication of vital rate and statistical information as needed.
  • Maintain relationship with ownership partners and consistently communicate strategic direction, results and obstacles.

Tools and Equipment:
  • Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, and facsimile machine.   

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Interior of hotel, in normal office conditions.

  • 5 years’ experience in a comparable position in a luxury hotel operation in the Director of Revenue position.
  • Hospitality and or revenue management related degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written, and non-verbal.
  • Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet the demands of a 24 hour operation.
  • Possess excellent organization and administrative skills.
  • Approachable, open minded, and fair.
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Must be fluent in English: ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
